Accident Repair – James Alpe
23 January 2014
Accident repair is a big subject! It still seems amazing to us that most people are under the impression that if they are involved in an accident, the first thing they should do is contact their insurer – WRONG! What actually happens is that their insurere will direct you to a repair centre or garage with whom they have pre agreed rates (these are usually very low). Waht this can mean for you and your vehicle is that the accident repair work is carried out with the ‘approved repairer’ where the quality of the repair is driven by the cost. In most instances it makes much more sense for you to take your vehicle to the garage of your choice. We would also recommend that you consider which manufacturer approvals the garage has. Would you really want to take your brand new Mercedes for example, to a garage which isn’t Mercedes approved? The way we do things at James Alpe accident repair centre is to spend a lot of time and investment in getting manufacturer approvals. We currently are approved for Jaguar Land Rover – www.jaguarlandrover.com Honda – www.honda.co.uk also Peugeot, Citroen, Mitsubishi, Nissan and Hyundai. In addition to this we carry the British Kitemark Accreditation PAS 125 which is an industry recognised quality and safety accreditation. At James Alpe we also offer every customer a courtesy vehicle (car or van) irrespective of your insurance policy terms. It makes sense to talk to us first if you are unfortunate enough to be involved in an accident. If the accident wasn’t your fault, we can put you in a ‘like for like’ vehicle and arrange for any out of pocket costs or expenses to be reimbursed through the third party insurer. It’s a mind field out there so for all accident repair work on cars, commercial vehicles and unusual vehicles – call James Alpe.
